Dear students, lecturers and employees of HAW Hamburg,
There are many people at HAW Hamburg who fight for justice, who are active in anti-discrimination work, who support their fellow students and/or colleagues or who have always wanted to do all this. This kind of work needs strong networks and support, because the headwind from right-wing populist forces is getting stronger and stronger. A good place to get together and tackle something is the university itself. Anyone who understands it as part of society will quickly notice where it makes sense to get involved. Here we have the resources and structures to become active quickly and easily.
We, the team for equality and the Anti-Discrimination team of the AStA, want to initiate a networking meeting at the HAW. All people who work at the HAW in the field of anti-discrimination and/or diversity on a voluntary or paid basis and those who would like to get involved in the fields should feel invited to the meeting.
With this appeal we want to head for the HAW against an isolation of the actors. We want to bring people together and let them enter into dialogue so that they can exchange ideas and discuss problems first.
Meetings will be organized at three HAW Hamburg locations, because we want to reach the actors at their faculties and support them in networking.
