Discussion event: Peace instead of NATO

Against the backdrop of global rearmament and the ever-growing threat of war, the OSCE, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, is becoming increasingly important. Founded in the 1970s during the Cold War, it was intended to be a forum for dialogue between East and West in order to prevent military escalation and build trust.

We ask:

• What is the OSCE doing today, and can it be an alternative to NATO in working for peace?
• Why is NATO, contrary to popular belief, not a defense alliance or a guarantor of peace, democracy, and human rights?
• And what role can we all play in making it clear that there will be no war with us?

joint solutions to the climate crisis, overcome social
inequality, and create health, culture, and mobility for
