In many self-organized structures, attempts are being made to live the vision of a society free of authority and in solidarity already in the here and now through good togetherness. Yet it is not easy to embody these visions in practice, to have space for good processes and at the same time to achieve satisfying results. Whether and how a meeting is facilitated can make a big difference in ...

 

    - what the atmosphere is like during the meeting
    - who and how many of those present (can) actively participate,
    - how long the meeting lasts
    - to what extent decisions can be made and implemented.

This four-hour online workshop gives a first introduction to the moderation of groups especially in self-managed structures and projects. These can be working groups, initiatives, associations, university committees or other groups. However, the contents can be transferred to all group contexts and are helpful both in moderating present meetings and online. The workshop can be attended by moderation beginners*, but is also helpful for moderation experienced.

 

Goals of the workshop:

- to get to know the basic skills of moderation
- get to know which tasks moderation can have,
- feel more confident to moderate yourself and try it out in practice,
- know where to find literature on the topic.

The workshop is an interactive workshop and depends on your participation. There will be small groups and different formats in which even more reserved people can participate.

Please come with a working webcam and microphone and test your technique beforehand. We try to work as much as possible with picture/camera, so that all participants can see each other. In case of bad connection quality, we will turn off the cameras.

 

Please come to the workshop on time, as a common start is important. If you have to leave early, please let us know so that no one is surprised when you leave.
