What you want to share!
The congress of the Chaos Computer Club (CCC/C3) will take place in the digital space this year. For lectures, workshops and discussions, however, physical venues are needed from which a transmission can take place. Therefore, the CCC has launched a Call for Participation to realize a decentralized Remote Chaos Experience (rC3). The Gängeviertel and MS Stubnitz want to make themselves available as remote lecture and meeting places (aka ChaosTrawler) for the rC3. The Stubnitz is an industrial monument and event ship in Hamburg's Hafencity, the Gängeviertel is a place of colorful diversity in the middle of the office tristesse of the Hamburg Neustadt. We have the space and necessary technology to stream lectures, discussions, workshops or performances, thus enabling forms of networked togetherness.
The focus of the ChaosTrawler should be on networking in Hamburg. But we are also happy to offer a platform for projects that are oriented to or from Hamburg. In terms of content, we can imagine contributions from the fields of urban development, (cultural) politics, technology, (sub)culture, art, group organization - but it depends on you, because you’re doing the program.
This is where you come into play. Freely based on the principle: Everyone can contribute something!
o You want to contribute something artistic? For example a participative remote live performance on your laptop or a musical live act on the Stubnitz or Gängeviertel stage?
o You are a collective/club/project/initiative and you want to introduce yourself and network? o You have a burning topic and you are looking for an opportunity to present it?
o You would like to initiate a discussion on a specific topic or share your knowledge in a digital workshop?
Then get in touch with us! Send us a first sketch of what you want to bring to the stage, how long it should take and which equipment you need. Unfinished ideas are also welcome, because ours is also not set in stone yet. Depending on the response to this Open Call, we plan to broadcast about six hours of program on about two days during the congress, divided into slots of 15 to 60 minutes. There will also be the possibility to pre-produce contributions if you feel more comfortable with this or if you cannot be on site at the end of December. For the production we can provide microphones, a screen, cameras and live edit as well as an environment with an already existing hygiene concept. If the response is very positive, we reserve the right to make a selection.
